whispered love

For many years I sang in the chapel choir at school, and that routine service became a familiarity with the liturgy and the holy: something I loved, something that could never leave me. Yet I went through some years as a student when I sought the holy along the wild margins of nature and, in a way, left the christian faith of my baptism. But God knew me and called to me, and I had a 'conversion' experience after which my faith became more consciously personal.

I have described it here.
