whispered love
purity

My friend gave me a very precious cross. I wear it when I go to confess my sins. I confess and sometimes cry and then I take the holy eucharist. Somehow, I am wanting purity and I feel purified in the presence of Jesus. I wear that cross with pride because he poured out love and life for me, for every single one of us. The rest of all my intellect and pride is nothing compared to that love. Any purity we have only comes from his presence within us, sanctifying our lives. We come to him wearing rags, and compromises, and stains. And he calls us, and takes away our disgrace, and calls us by his name, and becomes our pride. We are made clean through a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire, but that fire is tender love, and after judgment and conviction comes forgiveness.
